Real Estate Agents Are Using AI to Automate Their Businesses – Here’s How
Key Takeaways
Real estate agents are increasingly using AI tools to automate their businesses, saving time and increasing efficiency. This article explores the ways real estate professionals are using AI, like ChatGPT, Make.com, and video editing software, to streamline processes and boost productivity.
Leveraging AI for Content Creation and Marketing
ChatGPT has emerged as a game-changer for real estate professionals seeking to create compelling content. By customizing ChatGPT with personal information and style guides, agents can produce personalized emails and market updates in their own voice.
“One of the things that I do recommend I do pay for the $20 a month upgrade which gives you unlimited requests because I have gotten timed out on the free version before,” says Ty, the speaker in the video, “and it’s just annoying when you’re trying to do something and you can’t use it.”
He further explains the power of customizing ChatGPT, stating, “I can take one of my tech with Ty emails… and I’m just going to dump this in here as a PDF… or I can just copy and paste… create a style guide for a weekly email….”
Additionally, AI tools like Perplexity can summarize articles and website content, eliminating the need for subscriptions to gated content.
“I can put that into Perplexity and say summarize all,” Ty says. “This becomes a tool that I use actually in place of Google a lot of times,” he explains.
Boosting Email Engagement with AI-Powered Content
Ty highlights the importance of providing valuable content to grow email lists and achieve high open rates. He credits his own success with using AI to produce compelling emails.
“If you’re not providing valuable content, your open rate’s obviously going to be a lot lower,” Ty states. “I highly recommend that you create your own… whether it’s a weekly or monthly update email… such an untapped platform for sending these things out to your clients.”
Automating Social Media with AI
Agents are using Make.com to automate social media posting by directly pulling content from websites and articles and transforming it into tailored posts on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
“You can create an RSS feed from any website on the planet,” Ty emphasizes. “It’s going to grab that, grab a link, I’m going to skip all the technical jargon here… but it’s gonna throw it in ChatGPT, gives me a specific format for that text and it’s going to aggregate that into an array which is going to give me five different posts for every one article.”
Streamlining Video Production with AI
AI-powered video editing tools are simplifying the process of creating engaging video content. Aonic, an AI-powered audio editor, eliminates the need for manual noise reduction and improves the quality of phone videos.
“I strive for perfection,” Ty says. “I’ve obviously spent a ton of money on mics even when my equipment fails… thousands of dollars on microphones over the years, trying to make sure that the audio production is good.”
Video AI, another tool, is used to automatically create short video clips from long-form content, ideal for posting on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
“Video AI almost every single day… saves gosh I couldn’t even tell you how many hours of editing,” Ty says, adding, “we used to do a lot of this manually, creating shorts and stuff like that.”
The Impact of AI on Real Estate
Ty believes that AI will not replace real estate agents but will empower those who embrace its tools. He underscores the importance of staying ahead of the curve and utilizing technology to enhance efficiency and generate more leads.
“I don’t think AI is going to necessarily eliminate real estate agents or any business,” Ty says. “I think it’s going to eliminate those that are not embracing it… They’re going to certainly fall behind because the amount of content that you can put out here… are tools that we use on a regular basis… and we make sure that we’re using them to kind of streamline our processes.”
Measuring the Success of AI Integration
Ty presents his own experiences as proof of AI’s effectiveness. He cites a significant increase in video views since incorporating AI-powered tools into his workflow.
“In 2022, when we were doing everything manually, weren’t posting as much video because we just didn’t have as much content… we were at 83,7 [views] for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Tik Tok,” he says. “Since we started using Video AI, I think in probably April of 2023 maybe May… we got up to 347,000 views.”
Moving Forward with AI
Ty encourages agents to utilize AI tools and become early adopters in the industry. He believes that AI will continue to evolve and become even more powerful, making it increasingly crucial for agents to leverage these resources.
“We are at the infancy of AI,” Ty explains. “I really do think in the next… I don’t know six months, you’re not going to be able to tell the difference.”
Concluding Thoughts
Ty advocates for the use of AI in real estate. He sees AI tools as essential for agents looking to expand their reach, optimize their time, and stand out in a competitive market.
“AI, to me, is really the way to go,” Ty says. “It’s just going to automate more and more of our workflow, for both content creation and video production.”
